can a persons character be known by seeing his face?

I THINK YOU CAN TELL "SOME" OF SOMEONES CHARACTER BY LOOKING AT THEIR FACE. AT LEAST YOU CAN GET SOME INSIGHT ON THE PERSON, LIKE HOW LIFE HAS TREATED THEM, HAVE THEY BEEN HEALTHY, ARE THEY ENJOYABLE TO BE AROUND. OR DO THEY HAVE A SCOWL OR HARD LOOK TO THEIR FACE, AND THEY ARE UN-ENJOYABLE TO BE AROUND. I ALSO THINK THAT ONE NEEDS TO BE OLDER TO BE ABLE TO GO BY FACES. IT'S A LEARNED THING, BY ALL THE CHARACTERS & THE FACES THAT GO WITH THEM, THAT WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED THROUGH OUR LIVES. AND A PERSON'S EYES, WINDOWS TO THE SOUL. THE EYES TELL SO MUCH. BUT IT IS ALWAYS BEST TO GIVE THE PERSON THE BENEFIT OF ALL DOUBTS AND GET TO KNOW THEM. EVERYONE PUTS ON THEIR BEST FACE FIRST, BUT THE TRUE CHARACTER EMERGES SOON THEREAFTER.

No i don't think so, ever heard the expression "don't judge a book by its cover"? This expression can be impossed to someone's face because expressions can deceive which is why there are liars, con artists, cheaters, murders (who otherwise look completely innocent) etc... Sometimes this ability to generalize a person's character by their face or looks can be a bad thing because someone who might not look trustworthy (by our society standards of looks) can be completely harmless and even the nicest person on earth, compared to those who look otherwise and are criminals of the worst kind, which is why a lot of them get away with crimes since people don't think they are capable of doing something bad because of the way they might look physically, or dress or what ever the case may be. So no, i don't think so.

YOUR perception of that person`s character will be known to you. And that need not/will not be that person`s real character at all. As they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" , judegement is in the mind of the thinker.

Since YOU are judging that person , perhaps your impression of that face might reveal something to you. Honest, innocent, gullible, rough, unpolished........ kind anything. But to know the real character you should ask his friends and move with the person.

Be real, ok?
Take NOTHING at face value! The only way to really know someone is to get to know them, their friends.
Even then you may never know another person. Some people are very adept at hiding who they truly are. And You definately cannot know a person in any way by looking at their face!

Only if your knowledge of persons, as a principle, equals or exceeds the limits of the person viewed, but if you are ignorant of their problems, and virtues, then no, the character could not be known by you.

Con men's faces glow to the ignorant, but the wise know it to because of their lack of shame. Saints faces are radiant with peace, but those who think themselves wise see ignorance [of violence] because the saint has disposed of unfit things in themselves.

Shame covers all other faces, the selfish will use it to treat those persons with less respect than if ideal, and the humble will show them compassion.

Well i believe u can tell a lot of things about that person. By looking at someone u can tell if he's stupid or not. If u would read minds and these stuff u can even help that person by advicing him. And he will get shocked by your statement something like the gipsies.

No...character of a person is sometimes hide and maybe more beautiful or vise versa.
