Do athiests actually contemplate the numerous possibilities as to what existence could have been. Had only bacteria existed--that is still existence. Had the earth magically came into existence--that is existence too. But there is much more than just bacteria and the earth. There are humans who are rational and can seek meaning and truth. Out of all possibilities of what we could have been--simply the earth--maybe all insects--maybe just the Big Bang Hole itself--we came into existence as rational humans who seem to have a purpose in life. How could this be so coincidential?

Life seems to have little meaning when you examine it. Say there was no G-D, then our existence would be meaningless since we all want to exist forever. And for those who disagree, did you ever hear about a friend giving a GIFT of a million dollars and then ask it back just to find out that the person doesnt care and just says "hey at least i had a milloin dollars for a day". It doesnt work like that, humans dont think like this. And if there IS a G-D, then whats to come ahead? We all had different lives, some good, some bad. How do the people who had bad lives get a compensation for the crappy life they had on earth? And if we are to be distinct from one another in the world to come, then that would mean that there would still be inequality. In order to achieve inequality, we would all have to be uniform, which is also seems meaningless. I dont necessarily believe that there is or isnt a G-D or that life has no point, but it all seems like a contradiction to me. What do you think?

What kind of person are you? Are you proud of who you are? What would you change (if anything)?

Basically, how do you think humanity would have been different if you didn't exist?

People are always asking the age-old question, 'What is the meaning of life?' But what I am wondering is what someone would do if they had the opportunity to know what it was, or if it didn't exist. Personally, I'd avoid the answer; I'm happy knowing that I have a life. Knowing the meaning of life could change the world- maybe for the worse. Who knows.

Like when you say "I'll have a Big Mac combo with root beer, 2 cheeseburgers, one strawberry shake and a couple of oreo McFlurries"

Do you feel like totally spiritual and stuff when the voice comes back and tells you how much money you owe for your food?

Do you feel that driving up to the first window is like a journey of life, man?

And then theres that feeling between the 1st and 2nd window where you have paid but got nothing....is that like how you would feel if you were good but still went to hell, y;know?

Please tell me what this experience does to you....do you meditate before or after? What do you do to prepare for this? What do you call this ceremony of yours? Do you share your spiritual experices with brothers and sisters of the non-faith? Do you dream of Richard Dawkins the whole time you eat, like when he was on family feud except he is kissing you instead of some housewife?

Thanks
David

I believe they are conscious in a primitive way, like a baby human. I eat meat all the time, even though I know that it is just as painfull physically and emotionally for them when they die as it would be for me. I don't have any guilt about it. Does that mean I am an evil person? Why or why not?

They say that the sign that a species of sentient beings are achieving a higher state of consciousness is when its individual members start extending their sphere of loving and affection beyond just a select few immediate acquaintances in order to embrace all living beings.

Do you believe that this is a higher state of consciousness? If so, do you believe that it is happening amongst your own kind right now?

I have already achieved this stage because I think you are all positively adorable. You have these fragile little hairless and scaleless bodies that are warm and huggable and your soft undertummies are simply pokeable!

Is 'love' the right word? Do you agree with this popular saying? I'd say 'lust' fits both parts of the sentence more accurately! What word would you replace in this sentence?

How do we know if something is self-aware, or if it is programmed to act just as human as a human?
