Mmmm, the glass is half full and overflowing. I'm so grateful for what is. It certainly beats an empty glass. I have half a glass, and what do I do? I love the half glass so very much, wait patiently knowing the other half will follow, and return it multiplied. The glass represents love, and some is always better than none.

Pessimists say half empty.
Optimists say half full.
I say it depends. If you have an empty glass & someone pours into it halfway, it's half full. If you had a full glass & someone pours half of it out, it's half empty. I'm a realist. I see things the way that they are. Sometimes (often) they're bad. Sometimes (occasionally) they're good. I don't expect things to be better or worse than they are (ok well sometimes I do, but no one's perfect!)
If I got a half full glass, I would drink it (as long as it's a nice cold coca cola) & ask for more!
:)
Cheers!

Hi martin_h !!!
Very interesting and good topic for debate!!!
My answer is kind of analytical. Let's see????
If you are a negative person or some one who has
"low or no drive" in life; the answer will be........ That probably that person will see the glass half empty!!!!
NEGATIVE people, tend to look at things with less interest,
"low drive" or no interest at all. Making the connection as the glass being half empty!!!!
Therefor this type of people probably, will not drink from it
(will not be interested in searching), afraid finishing it and not being able to have more.
For the same reason, that they will see the glass as being half empty. This people are called, "PESSIMISTS".
If it's a positive person or some one that has "high drive", definitely, that person will look at the glass as being half full!!!
POSITIVE people, tend to look at things with more interest,
"high drive" or eagerness for more. Making the connection as the glass being half full!!!
Therefor this type of people, will take sip by sip, drinking from it (will be interested in searching), for the same reason that they will see the glass as being half full. This people are called,
"OPTIMISTS".
Now this debate could get much more interesting. If in the other hand, the person looking at the glass containing something, measurring half.............sees the glass as not being either half full or half empty, this person probably is one very insecure person.
Most of them are followers. And they could hardly be notice in life. They are like "OUT ON A LIMB" in life!!!
A person that can not take desicions easily or reegret taking them ones they do. This people are the very insecure ones. The ones that don't take chances in life, but stay in so of a "FLAT LINE". Monotonous!!!!
They are kind of living from other people desicions, wants or needs.
The second part of this question: If you got a half full glass, what would you do???
My answer to that is...... I would consume what ever is in it, that is if I'm in a need to do so. If I'm not satisfied at the moment, I will go out, to search and find something else to fill the glass with, even if is not the same thing it had before!!!!
And I will keep doing that until I'm satisfied!!!! And knowing me, I definitely will finish it; and even if I'm completely satisfied, will make sure that glass is holding something for when I need to be satisfy again!!!!
I'm a true believer in searching, adquiring, keeping, showing, practicing, and definitely sharing; help, knowlege, faith,
respect and LOVE!!!! All of this with the out most truly best intention. To make this world a much better place to live, for us, our chlidren and the children of our children!!!!
Sorry I couldn't make this answer a short one. But I speak my truth and like to make it clear. Who knows who might be READING? Probably I could touch some one with my words!
GOD BLESS YOU & I WISH YOU THE BEST !!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR

The glass is evidently over designed.
As to what to do with a half full vessel, it is an issue of what it is full of. It is like memory: if your computer memory is full, then you no not have room to put more stuff, so with a half full vessel, the pressure would be to empty it so that more can be put in there later.
These days, I would be inclined to think that most people would empty their glass (drinking it) so that they can have another one.
Cheers!

If I am pouring it into the glass, then it is half full. If I am in the process of drinking it, then it is half empty.

Well basically you're REAL lucky there, because you clearly have a *double-size glass*.
My strategy would be to toss it back, and then look up with a childlike charm and expectancy & wait for a refill.
But then I am a criminal mastermind...
