Life is full of many material and tangible things, but what about things such as love or hate? These are things that cannot be truly defined by science, yet they can be more powerful than anything that one can see, or touch. Without love, and hate, we would be as robots, existing for nothing......yet for some reason, our lives seem to be guided by these mystical emotions that we cannot explain? Do you think love was an accident of nature?

I'm not asking whether we fall in love, or hate someone on purpose or not.......I want to know if you think these incredible emotions originated from some type of matter floating around in space when our exsistance first came to be.....which would be concidered an accident of nature...... Or do you believe that it would be impossible for something so mystifying to evolve from a rock?

just curious, as we have several ways of expressing our opinions, by asking questions, answering , rating, and voting for best anser,,, i just discovered that if you are here in the Philosophy area, and you click vote, you get a list of answers up for voting for just Philosophy ,, there are 93 pages of undecided questions. to me, this is a great way to let others know that you hear what they are saying, and they voiced their opinion well,,,,, just wondered if others felt it was important, or part of their "answers day" to vote ?

We all know we hate stereotypes...but what's yours?

ex. I'm a punk/emo so I must do drugs/cut myself
I'm a prep so I must be a snob/ bratty rich white kid.
I'm black so I must own a gun/be in a gang.

Answer this question just to show how stupid stereo types are!

Do you call a chair a chair because you sit on it, or it has four legs? A bed has the same components as well as other objects. So what makes a chair a chair?

I do date a man about one year but then I asked him if he's not serious with me, he should tell me move on. I told him that I love him but I did not like how things are going between us. I want to change. I need to known that he wants me to be his girlfriend or not. I am already to move on but I need to be cleared. Then he's angry and he has not said anything for three days. What does this mean? Is he already leave me or he's still thinking? Why did not he say anything to me. Or is it not okay for me to ask him that question?
