I am particularly concerned with improving the efficiency of my guitar practice. I have determined that guitar playing is known as a discrete skill. It's actually a series of discrete skills known as a serial skill. I am interested in learning what the best method of practice is. I would like to know how often I should practice, what exactly I should practice, and how much I should do during practice. I would like to know what the optimal amount of practice time is for learning a new skill. I am not a beginner, I am just looking to improve efficiently. Should I used distributed or massed practice? How many different things should I work on in a session? How long should a session be? How many times should I repeat the same things over again? How long will the kinesthetic memory be retained?
I don't expect you to be able to answer all of these questions, but if you could answer them or at least direct me to some books or websites that might be able to answer them, that'd be cool.

I love being on stage. I am a naturally quiet person and sort of shy. I have this weird thing, though, where the bigger the audience, the less nervous I am. And if it's a audience the size of a class, I really get nervous. I'm getting over it sort of, but it's still true. I'm in a play, and I"m not nervous at all about performing in front of my whole school. But when I have to do a class presentation for drama class or anything else that involves less people, I hate it and I get real stage fright. Do you know anyone that is like that? Why do you think that's the way it is? I just want some opinions. No stupid answers please =)

I have wanted to be a singer my whole life. I have a great voice and have won many awards. I am even doing a solo in my school's middle school show choir.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me to help achieve my lifelong dream to become a singer?

And please, I am looking for real answers. NOT STUPID ONES!
Thank you.

Please feel free to email me if you have any comments or questions. Thanks!

I recently purchased (what I hope) is an antique violin for about AU$150.

The label inside reads as follows:
COPY OF
Antonius Stradivarius faciebat Cremona 1713
MADE IN GERMANY

Also, to the left of the label there is a logo of a violin inside a diamond which is on top of what looks to be the upper half of a globe, and there is a letter on each side of the violin logo neck - KH. I know it is old because there is spotting of mold inside.
I think it is a factory instrument, probably made in czeckoslovakia c.1920 onwards, but then again I really have no idea.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

If any of you have a good strong voice, (this means ladies too),.. and are happy to record me *wav file, high quality with no background noise/s,.. please let me know. I want a few custom sounds for a game level, (map), I'm producing. I'll mention your help in a Readme that always gets produced for each map I make.
I'd like, in seperate files, the following sounds recorded with a hint of 'machine-likeness' if that makes sense,...

1. "Hatch doors opening"
2. "Sluice gates will be closing for maintanence in approximately 30mins"
3. "All personnel are reminded to wear protective clothing in these premises at all times"
4. "Lift X activated" (Where X is = sequential numbers from 1-6,.. this means 6 seperate & very similar recordings).
5. "The management at Orex Corporation are not responsible for any deaths at this water storage plant"

If any of you could do this for me, I'd be very grateful,.. thanks!! Just add me to yahoo messenger when you're done.
Cheers!
