Learn the magic tricks from books, internet or demonstrations (if people are willing to break the magicians code) and then practice, practice, practice!! Start off in front of a mirror and then maybe a small audience of friends and family who can give you advice and feedback and work from there. Good luck!

Find a local magic club and visit a couple meetings (http://www.magicsam.org).
Find a magic shop and hang out there a bit (but don't become a pest!)
Get some books or videos from the library- even those in the kids section are good!
Go to http://magic.about.com and try the links there.
