what are some good ways to prepare for a piano recital a few hours before it starts?

Sit back and take your mind off it. Watch some tv or something.

Make sure you have prepared in advance, including rehearsing enough times on the actual piano, stage and setting where you will be performing, until it seems natural to you and no big deal. Whatever you are used to focusing on in rehearsal to maximize your performance, focus on the same thing. Before and during the performance I tend to focus on the music and the expression that I want to present. With or without words, with any performance or presentation, I find that focusing on the desire to communicate or share a message, helps the rest to flow naturally.

stay calm, relax, take deep breaths. Tell urself ur ready and confident and ur going to do ur best. U may want to practice just a little bit (to keep ur fingers warm and ready to go), but don't practice the whole time and overdo it. Probably best to do a quick run through

don't eat beans! :-) Oh yeah, try to relax yourself. Do some yoga or something like that.
