I have a 61-key Yamaha keyboard. I'm not sure if I can fly with it on either domestic or international flights. Does anyone know if the airline will let me fit it in the overhead compartment? I've traveled with my guitar before which fitted in the compartment just fine, but I don't know about the keyboard.

Additional Details

PS. I am moving to Japan in a few months and would really like to bring my keyboard with me onto the aircraft. GEnuine answers will be appreciated.

People that have so much to do with acting.. seem to always hook up with actors. I've asked around and I was told that it's hard to put a limit between personal life and career in this field. I would like to know why. What's your opinion on this ?

I have been in a couple of community theater productions and have dealt with choreographers who just like to tell people how bad they are. I would prefer to receive a more detailed critique. Is it everyone in the ensemble or only certain people? When the choreographer yells, it really doesn't motivate anyone. I try not to react, but everyone in the production is not a dancer and non-dancers need longer to learn things. I am a dancer and think I have the steps, but I don't know because he never explains what we are doing wrong. It is like we have to figure it out for ourselves. I could understand if we were a week before opening, but we've only been practicing the dances about a week. Any advice?

Is that something that you must find out professionally (like by going to vocal training etc.) or are there ways to find it on your own?

Any musical is fine, I'm just wondering who the most popular parts seem to be. I would want to be Elphaba from Wicked.

I have an audition in May for Theatre Arts at college. I have a fairly wide vocal range. What songs would you suggest? (something sung by a female and only from a musical)

I play a variety of instruments so I understand pitch and rythm and all that good stuff. I just can't seem to figure out how to sing to have a good voice. Does a "good voice" lie in terms of how you are breathing or are some people just born with one and others just can't sing no matter how hard they try? What can I do to better my voice?

I am going to conduct my high school band sometimes (more for fun and experience than anything) and I know the basics of conducting from watching band/choir directors, but I don't really feel capable myself. Any good ideas?

The tuning of guitar for strings 6-5-4-3 is E-A-D-G while the
four strings of mandoline are tuned as G-D-A-E. Will it be confusing to switch from one instrument to another ? Is it possible to tune the mandoline to E-A_D-G ?

Lately, I've been singing. And when I sing, I sing liud.
Now, whenever I try and sing certain notes, or parts, it's completely raspy and can't sing.
What's wrong? Is that voice gone forever? Or is it, just something that all singers get? When you sing too much and can't sing well anymore for a certain time...

Please let me know what this is! I'm so scared, I'm in tears ... I'm really scared and get worried very easily, so, is my regular voice going to come back to me?

PLEASE HELP!

I'm in my second year of college and a couple years ago, I started playing viola on and off, but I really want to continue music study. Where can I do this? Is there a music school that I don't have to audition for? I'm sure that with my lack of experience, I couldn't get in. Counsel?
