People that have so much to do with acting.. seem to always hook up with actors. I've asked around and I was told that it's hard to put a limit between personal life and career in this field. I would like to know why. What's your opinion on this ?

I've been in both types of relationships as an actor. The harder people to be with were the non-performers. It's not because they were bad people, they just really didn't understand the time commitment it takes to perform, the closeness with the other actors, how you separate 'intimacy' with a romantic lead character and real life (it's quite simple when you do these types of characters frequently), jealousy....just really not understanding the entire community. It really is alien to outsiders. I'm married to a symphony conductor (whole other level of attention let me tell you, never seen anything like it) and it's easier for us because we understand the time, rehearsals, the contact with other people, the 'scene', the patrons, the parties.....it's just such an enormous task for someone who has never been there. We both have ex-spouses who were nonperformers and we both had very similar issues when it came down to it. They really just couldn't deal with the performance life. Hope this is a touch insightful.

It is hard! Before I came to the school I'm aat now, I had never been with anyone outside of theatre! And, your choices are limited, so you find yourself attracted to random theatre nerds.
You need to put yourself in a place where you aren't spending your only social time at rehearsal. Give yourself an hour to go to a coffee shop, or go to a school hat isn't JUST for theatre. Find a writer or a sculpter... someone involved in art, but NOT in theatre.
That's what I had to do.
