"Defying Gravity" from Wicked, "The Wizard and I" from Wicked, "For Good" from Wicked, or "Good Morning Baltimore" from Hairspray! These are all wonderful songs and if you choose any of these I'm positive you will do well! Good luck! I hope you do extremely well and hopefully one day I will get to see you perform on Broadway! Have fun!

Ive worked in theater for a long time (but have not been on stage in a while) and have been there for the auditions and have found that the song "All that Jazz" from Chicago always goes over well because it is a song that is sexy, fun but you can also sing it in just about any range and change it around to show off your tallents while hiding some of your mistakes. If you have the voice for it do something from Phantom that is always a good one too. Shy away from songs from Cats or shows that are rock music like Rent because you will want to show that you are not looking to be the next american idol you are looking to be a serious actress and can mold into any character. If this does not work for you, go to your local music store and you can purchase sheet music that will have a little of this song and a little of that song and will show a wide range of your abilities. MOST IMPORTANTLY you do not have to take any suggestions from us here on the web, you will want to sing a song that is comfortable to you and feels like second nature. Record yourself singing several songs then play them for your friends (if you cant play them for your friends ((and they should be the hardest to please)) then you may be in the wrong industry) and take their advise on what you sound best doing. As an actress you do not want to get yourself stuck in a position where you will be labled as someone who can only do one type of roll. You still have some time so start prepairing now and walk in with confidence (dont confuse confidence with being stuck on yourself either because the people you audition for will see that and may skip over you for someone who is more down to earth). I hope my tips help you, you are in for a hard journey to be a great actress but I wish you the best of luck.

If you want to show off your vocal range - Climb Every Mountain - from the Sound of Music. Awesome song. The lady who originally sang it had incredible range. You don't see that kind of talent a lot anymore.

I have a dram is a fantastic song which shows some vocal range, and gives you the chance to put some acting behind it. The song is from Les Miserables, and one of my favorites.

I would do On my own from Les Mis
or
Life is a Caberet from Caberet... Or anything from Caberet really..
Try something a little out of the ordinary from everyone else. im sure they are all going to go the Andrew Lloyd Webber route...Its the easiest to find music for afterall....

What about Popular in Wicked its a brightly peppy song and good for showing off all your skills or maybe Hopelessly Devoted from Grease
