Hi, my name is Hank. I never realized there are so many people who won't use a simple function button to check their spelling. I was taught that spelling is a critical part of communication. Don't pull the easy cop-out that I'm an elitist either. There is absolutely no reason to not use the spell check. Well, there is one reason--laziness.

I called a person on their spelling the other day, and he/she tried to come back with satire, which was nothing more than veiled anger, at me, for calling him/her on dropping an l in collapsed.

I wrote the person, and told him/her a short, but true, story why spelling was so critical, and all the person did was come back at me, trying to justify his/her error, of not spell checking, by trying to be satirical. All he/she did was prove how asinine some people can be. It is so easy to point and click--that I just don't understand why people wouldn't use it (spell check).

Or, otherway put: why are artistic nudes against the "will of God"? I mean, I draw nudes, artistic ones, without any erotic meaning... why do all my religious friends tend to "spit me in the face" for that?

Glimpses

The wind is blowing now
Running its fingers
Through the sea of grass in the mountainside
I can’t see the wind;
But I wish I could.

Your shoulder feels warm as I lean on
You wrap one arm around me,
Tonight, not for once have I turned,
To see your face.
I know you are here; it’s all that matters
It’s an assurance,
Beyond words or writing.
The wind creates mad ripples
Through the sea of green...

The mountains are quiet, waiting;
The stars:
Bright enough to light the way
Yet dim enough to hide us both.

I keep my eyes fixed
On the landscape; so proud
Of its artist..
For every canvas, we ever painted
Are matchless to the glimpses
Of a world,
Beyond the world itself.

The moment is defining
I no longer wish:
To see the wind,
Or for anything at all...

Recently, I have gone to a music store looking to buy a piano. I like good deals and when I saw a slightly scratched upright marked down almost by 50%, I took my chance and purchased it.

The salesman told me that the brand of piano I purchased, Pearl River, partners with the company Steinway & Sons. Since labor is cheap in China (Pearl River pianos are manufactured there), Steinway purchases the pianos from Pearl River and then sells them +$5000 or more tacked on the original value.

When Pearl River sells their pianos, the price is significantly lower, but the quality and craftsmanship of the piano is the same. So my question: Is this true? Have my Steinway-owning friends been shelling out more money than needed?

I think limericks are among the most enloyable forms of poetry. Short, witty and meaningful.

I am trying to make a collection of the best ones and would be grateful for the best one or two you know or can find. Please be very selective as I am aiming for quality, not quantity.
