Honey, if we limited this site to people who know English very, very well, there'd be maybe a couple of dozen people on it!

It sounds like you've been getting bad comments about your English. Let it roll off your back, as we say; the way water rolls off a duck's back. The fact is, many of the people who use this site have been all the way through American high schools and can't write English worth a darn. Our schools are not as good at teaching English as they are at teaching what is Politically Correct. In fact, people who learn English as a second language probably learn it better than most Americans do. Or as Professor Higgins put it: "There even are places where English completely disappears. In American they haven't used it for years." And that was written quite a few years ago, too! It hasn't gotten any better.

So make yourself at home here, and don't worry about the people who tease you about your English. Just give it back to them!

Of course not - your question is a great example that people who want to help will try and figure out what you are saying. But, best bet is to mention that English isn't your first language so that people don't just think you are an uneducated hick American.

Good luck and enjoy Yahoo answers! : )

No I think even if the sentence is "backward" to english language standards then english speaking people should be able to understand it still. Go ahead and ask. Feel free. :)

Why don't you try asking your question and if someone doesn't know what it means, they can ask you.
