Can transmit diseases

2006-07-02 17:13:20 · answer #1 · answered by n_bahkar 3 · 1 0

The biggest
potential health problem
has
to do with infections from the needles and other equipment used for tattoos.
Hepatitis B has been transmitted when equipment is improperly sterilized,
and
while there are no reported cases to date of hepatitis C and HIV from
tattooing, both are possible risks. Some states -- and some localities
(including New York City) -- have banned tattoo parlors because of
infections
traced to poor sanitation. Elsewhere, state and local health departments may
regulate tattoo parlors, so it is worthwhile to check the regulations for
tattoo artists in your town.

tattoo arn't that dangerous themselves, but you have to be careful you dont get AIDs or Hep. from the needles. I don't know how dangerous the ink is. Make sure hey change and clean needles and ink after every costomer. Ask the right questions. Even insist on proff. It would be horrible to get HIV just for a tattoo
oh and you can get MRIs if the ink isnt lead based, it usually only is in prisons anymore

well they are only dangerous if you get them done at an unsanitary place. MAke sure they change the needle before they start or just take the package off. And also, once you have a tattoo, you cannot get an MRI done at all. But if you are healthy then I wouldn't worry about it.

it isn't dangerous at all it's just as dangerous as gettin ur ear pierced but like everybody else said make sure the artist uses a clean needle oh just a hint if the tattoo starts to itch don't scratch it pat it with ur hand it helps

They aren't dangerous unless you get a tattoo artist that is a sleezeball and uses dirty needles.

I would just do alot of research and get recommendations on who can provide the best art, along with the most sterile art.

Good luck!

They're only dangerous if the ink gets into your blood stream or if the artist uses a dirty needle. They are mostly pretty safe.

Not any more dangerous than anything else you do as long as you go to a reputable tatooist.

Ask people in your area where theirs was done. You want an artist that is licensed and inspected by the board of health. (And, hopefully, talented.)

P.s. Hurt like a bear, but it's kinda like childbirth...you forget that part.

they arent dangerous if you get it done by a licensed professional who uses clean, new, and sterile needles..but if the tattooer uses old/dirty needles then you risk getting an infection like hepatitis b and aids
