Many historians including Vegetius, Gibbon and A. Ferril have theorized that a great factor in the demise of the Roman Empire was the "barbarisation" of its armies, meaning the outsourcing of the military and thereby the loss of civic virtue.
Currently we see the gradual privatization and outsourcing of the American military. Is that a harbringer of the decline of the American Empire?

It seems unthinkable that if the office of the Pope actually existed, that he and his office would be completely overlooked in a 3 century history.

He wrote a history of the Churches for Emperor Constantine between 312 A.D. & 325 A.D.

The Pope is not even mentioned one time. The word catholic is still in its original form as just antoehr adjective to describe churches.

Where is the Catholic Church? Why is it never mentioned even a single time?

It was once a great channel, now it seems like all they are trying to do is scare everyone with these end of the world/prophecy shows. And don't get me started on Ice Road Truckers! I miss the days when they actually had shows about history.

I remember seeing the exact figures in one of my history textbooks a long time ago. It gave certain points in history, ex. 1840, 1860, 1880, 1920, etc. and it would say how many miles of railroad each region (north or south) had.

Could someone tell me what the numbers were, or where i could find this information?
