Suggest you do not use the "Let them eat cake" phrase which has been overused and probably was never said in the first place. She was disliked for lavish spending at a time of poverty for most French people. Perhaps a cartoon of Marie looking at a huge diamond ring on her finger and exclaiming,
"Look! I do help the people of France. I personally support the French wine, perfume, silk, and diamond industries."
You can probably think of a line less lame. Just a suggestion.

One great line from Mel Brooks' "History of the World Part I"
has the king saying, "The peasants are revolting!" It is of course a double entendre or double meaning. That line could be used by Marie facing a mob of angry French commoners.
I don't think Mel Brooks would mind for a school project.

Added note - I also like the "Goddess" suggestion below.
Hope you can draw Marie and French peasants well. Good luck.

Well look at what she would do. Take random quotes like " Let them eat Cake !" ( Which was said by Teresa ) or somthing like how she supports her people but, sitting on a throne of peasants.
