Nice people here, right? Well, current thought is that a force of paid craftsmen was employeed (rather than what old hollywood suggest about slaves in the Ten Commandments and other movies) during the flood season, when no planting or harvesting could be done. These men were housed with their families in workman's villages. There are many different theories about the building of pyramids, but it is suggested that the stones were shipped by barge up the Nile. There are many websites if you google pyramid building, which i suppose is what the polite and kind woman above was attempting to suggest, which illustrate the methods the ancients might have used (i.e., scaffolds, pullies...), though we are not 100% certain, so I suggest you present several different methods in your report. The Discovery and history channels have good shows time to time, but since you're on line, just google pyramid building... and ignore the mean people who respond to questions with sarcasm, they have nothing better to do.

Gee! times have really changes... "back in the day" ...at the dawn of mankind ....we had things called books that we read to get simple information....or we had a building usually on "Main Street" in almost every town that was chock full of many books, some called ..."Encyclopedias"... that gave all sorts of SIMPLE knowledge in an easy to read/understand format.... Check these out instead of playing HALO 3 and asking others to learn/work for you.....Some day you might "hafta" do something mentally strenuous!

Here's a nice little site that should help if you don't want something overcomplicated. I don't know what level of school this is for. The second site from Encarta may be better for you.
Good luck with your paper. It always takes a bit of luck for things to fall into place in a good report or project.
