Of course, we are dealing with the Declaration of Independence. They aren't in alphabetical order, but they are in order of length. Was that just a literaary tool used by Jefferson, or did he place them in order of importance?

I just love to read some peoples' idiotic questions over things like 9/11.

If it wasnt for the United States especially during the 20th century, there is a good chance that even today most of the world would be ruled by Germany and Japan.

In 1917 the United States saved France and Britian from defeat. Oh you might argue that, but fact is that Both countries were on the verge of defeat. French and british troops were nearly out of supplies. Britian was being starved to death by a Sub fleet they couldnt defeat.

In World War II, Britian needed us to keep them able to fight. Russia wasnt able to defeat germany alone. We stopped both wars.

We have done things in the past that might be injustice, the indians and such. But compared to most nations we are very sane.

Oh plus the fact that those who did all that slaughtering come from countries like Spain, France, britian.

People should stop talking sh*t when they dont know what they are talking about.

I've been reading up on the causes of world war 2. I realise that the treaty of versaille seems to be one main reason. THe terms seem quite harsh for e.g taking blame for the world war. Can anybody tell me how Germany felt towards the terms of the treaty?

I wont go into the kennedy side since you can look at some of my questions and find that part.

And i am not doing this on any movies or anything but somethings just dont add up.

We had Ben Ladden in a military hospital days before 9/11 why did we let him go?

Why did Bush have members of his family in Washington also days before 9/11 and then on 9/12 they were the only plane to leave the ground while the rest of the airports were closed?

Why was Bush so quick to retaliate but not against Ben Ladden himself but against Iraq and Afghanistan when neither probably had much to do with the attacks?

Why has Bush ignored for the most part the UN, Congress, and the people's wishes to stop the fighting?

I was thinking about this the other night and i realized that there has to be more to it.

Iraq isnt a threat, but Iran is. the US just charged Iran some 50 bil or so to pay for a attack in the 80's against our embassy there. In my view thats a push towards war.

When I go to the South, I hear that the "War of Northern Aggression" was fought because the North wanted it's land back. When I hear about the Civil War from anyone else, I hear that it was fought over slavery.

Why do you think the Civil War was fought?

I just have a hard time believing that people in the North really cared that much about slavery. The average person might've been against it, but I seriously doubt many people would voluntarily fight and die to free the slaves.

I always hear about how brave the police and fire fighters were. Don't get me wrong they totally desevre it! But so do the 12 EMT's. These 12 EMT's ran to ground zero to start treating people and doing triage. These 12 EMT's are heros as well! I think it's time we start treating EMT's like the hero's they are.

Every generation has that event that happens that you will always remember where you were and what you were doing. Pearl Harbor, the Kennedy assassination, and the WTC

For the WTC I was waking up for work when the first plane hit the first tower, and watching the second plane on TV with everyone else at work.

Just wondering on this day of remembrance what you were doing when it actually happened.

Thanks in advance for those who answer this
