I just love to read some peoples' idiotic questions over things like 9/11.

If it wasnt for the United States especially during the 20th century, there is a good chance that even today most of the world would be ruled by Germany and Japan.

In 1917 the United States saved France and Britian from defeat. Oh you might argue that, but fact is that Both countries were on the verge of defeat. French and british troops were nearly out of supplies. Britian was being starved to death by a Sub fleet they couldnt defeat.

In World War II, Britian needed us to keep them able to fight. Russia wasnt able to defeat germany alone. We stopped both wars.

We have done things in the past that might be injustice, the indians and such. But compared to most nations we are very sane.

Oh plus the fact that those who did all that slaughtering come from countries like Spain, France, britian.

People should stop talking sh*t when they dont know what they are talking about.

It is ironic what you said about Japan beccause the majority of our national debt is owed to Japan.

We need to stop worrying about what people are saying about our country and more about what people could do to our country in the future.

For pete sakes, there is a 9 year old boy in China who is in college. Imagine the potential he could have for formulating a business that will out perform our country for all eternity.

If you knew your history you would know that Hitler lost the war because he ended up fighting a war on two fronts. the US and the Allies in the West and the Russia in the East. The end came when the Russians entered Berlin and surrounded Hitlers bunker. Basically Hitler ran out odf manpower, money and machines after being at war for nearly 6 years. The Americans did not win the war by themselves (though they take the credit for it) but did speed up the conclusion of WWII.
If you look at US history the United States has been in a state of conflict virtually continously since WWII- something like 85%. They have supported dictators, in Chile they helped support a coup that toppled an directly elected president and that led to Augusto Pinochet. In the 1980's Saddam Hussein was a friend of the US against Iran. It has got involved in the affairs of many countries and because of the conniving of the CIA, poliical couops, assasinations you have ended up with basketcase countries throughout the Middle East, Panama, Nicaragua, El Salvador, the Philllipines. The current Iraq is a directly result of the US invading that country and toppling its dictator who was the only thing holding the countries sectarian divides together, Once Saddam was gone that lead to the rise of ISIS (many of its commanders were generals in Saddams army). You have the US interfering in Israel and Palestine while favoring one side over the other because Israel has paid off US politicians.
Americans talk about being a free and democratic country but its one of the most corrupt. duplicitous and dysfunctional governments in power today. There is very little freedom in the US today, unless you are one of the one percent, the middle class has been all but wiped out and the working class is living paycheck to paycheck while the richer get richer.

Are you interested in knowing why there is so much opposition to the US or do you simply want to demonstrate your nationalism?
There is nothing wrong with being patriotic, if that is your deal, then fine.
Do you wish to understand? OK. You know how you feel about 9/11 and Osama Bin Laden? That's how I feel about the US and Sep. 11 1973 and the CIA coup against Salvador Allende. That is how many people feel about the US funding of France during its colonial war against Viet Nam and about the 4M killed in the US engagement in the same country. There are plenty of other examples. If you do not wish to do your own research, I can point to a few more US actions which equal or dwarf 9/11.

Simply understand that it is not the American people who are hated, but your government, which has done much harm to most people in the world.

And, we all know the US helped France and Britain... whopeee! the imperialists get bailed out! how happy we are!

Peace

edit: WWII may have been won through an alliance, but it must not be forgotten that it was the Soviets who did most of the fighting. I am tired of hearing that old BS about the US being against fascism. Communists, Anarchists and Socialists SAVED us all from NAZISM.... never forget it.

People love to throw rocks at tanks. We are the newest 'super power,' arguably, the newest industrialized nation, unless you count the EU, as some do.

In either case, America was supposed to be built and run on very lofty principles (I know, the revolution was about our governors being able to levy and collect taxes, thanks, Ben.) 200+ years later, our corruption, hypocrisies, injustices, and outright empirical thinking is starting to bite us in the butt.

The propaganda is that we were supposed to be the richest, free-est, most morally aware country in the world. While this is true in many was and many cases, our present state is certainly not up to that lofty ideal, and foreign interests are becoming better informed about what we do and how we do it than the average American citizen (for instance, enroll in a civics class or American government class, even economics, see if you actually learn how any of that works, you can't!)

Compared to 'most' nations, we are not very sane. Not sane at all. Compared to some, or the worst, of course, but not most, amigo. I was in a little country called Latvia, and one person in my hotel came down with TB. We ALL got free inoculation at the hospital. Conversely, America rates 48th or 49th as far as availability of minimum health care to it's citizens. That's like two spots above Cuba, for goodness sake.

Don't mistake me, I love my country, for the most part, and love it's people, for the most part, but that is a far cry from saying we are the only thing going.

I hesitate to even take this tack, but, how often have you gotten to visit other industrialized nations? How much time have you spent with their people? How much have you studied their laws? If your answer is that you have never left this country or taken a foreign studies or international business class, you qualify as one of those people you name at the end of the details. Sorry.

As far as our wealth is concerned... BUZZZZZZ! more propaganda. If you have been paying attention, European banks are no longer buying our debt. That's right, foreign money held up our financial market, and we're in big trouble, now that that money has been cut off. We have never been 'more rich' than other countries, we just have (had) more credit (debt-based economy). Most other countries actually make money, every year.

Speaking of talking Sh*t when they don't know what they are talking about. The U.S. was a minimal player in WWI, Britain and France were already buying large amounts of munitions from American factories. America getting in just sped up Germany's decision to try peace talks.
In WWII we did a lot, but we could not have won without the help of France, Britain, Russia, etc.
As far as people bad mouthing the U.S., unless we go back to isolationism, we are always going to rub people the wrong way, its when they stop bitching about us that you should worry

The real reason is because right now the US is considered to be the largest world power. Its easy to blame the largest power for just about everything, even if it isn't their fault (most times is the local government's fault). If everyone thought Chad was the greatest world power then everyone would be blaming Chad for their problems. The thing is until people really realize who's at fault they can't correct it. Many local leaders use 'facts' to persuade the people that it is the USA's fault allowing them to remain in power and deflecting attention away from them to some country generally half-way around the world.

Your a prime example of why some people don't like folk from the the US. Your so far up your own r'ses,it's unbelievable. Perhaps if the US had the guts to help places like Hungary,Poland,France sooner, then the war would have been over a site quicker.

America has done great things in its past, it has also done horrible things. I think the main reason put down the USA is because of the current laughing stock weve made ourselves.

We used to be #1 in many areas, scientific achievments, medical breakthroughs, technology etc.

Now the only thing we are #1 in is Wealth, Power, and #1 most idiotic government among the industrialized nations. Our literacy rate is lower, our crime rates are higher, our education is awful, we arent doing much of anything new in the way of technological or scientific breakthroughs. America has become stagnant, and seriously lacking in the same areas we used to boast to the rest of the world we were best at, but some still maintain the mentality that America is #1, well we're not buddy. Not to say america isnt a great country, it used to be, and could be again, but currently, we are a mockery of what we once were, what we stand for, and what we should be.

The thing that bothers me about the US is that we are to materialistic. Kinda like the IPhone thing. People waiting in line to be the first, only to see now that the price went down. And what about Xmas shopping. We are advertising in September. It is really shameful and it will never end. We want it when we want it and nobody can say different.
As to our history in war and such you must be in school, its hard to remember all of that stuff when you get out of school especially because you don't use it.

The US didn't join WW II until they were attacked by the Japanese. The rest of the free world was fighting Hitler for years prior to that. The main reason the Germans were turned back in Russia was the weather, not the Americans.

Americans tend to be overbearing, ignorant, self-centered megalomaniacs. And just look at the fool you folks have elected to run your country,,,,twice!! That's why people put you down.
