Sitting in the parking lot of McDonald's, eating breakfast after undergoing a physical exam. At first I thought it was just a mistake, then perhaps just a small plane.

It wasn't until after I got home did I realize it was an attack on our country. I guess I would have been made more aware sooner if I had stayed at work as I'm a Federal employee.

The building I work in was closed, all employees were sent home immediately after the attack. My friends told me the next day there was fear in the air.

I hope we never again have to live such a horrid day and that God will punish those responsible by denying them a place in His kingdom in the afterlife.

On my way home from taking the kids to school and just minutes from home. I will never forget what I heard on the radio, and when I later arrived home and turned the television on in time to see a jet fly into one of the towers. You could hear the jets from the Army Reserves at Ellington Field taking off close to our home. My phone rang and my mom was on it, and you could hear the fear and disbelief in her voice. I found out later that day my niece was suppose to be in the section of the Pentegon that was struck, but her advisor had call her and the other employees that the schedule had been changed and not come in until the next day.

Working in the OR at a military base in San Diego. All of us techs knew immediately that our lives were going to change immensely from that point forward - and that many of us would get deployed. Base is right near an airport and was usually pretty noisy with planes overhead - the three days that followed with air travel shut down completely were eerily quiet. The outpouring of support from our country to all military members was amazing - we have a truly wonderful country.

I was at work - less than 45 minutes away from the Pentagon, wondering if we were under attack. Rumors swirled about other attacks - as if the two weren't enough - eventually management closed our entire facility and sent everyone home. We were also asked to try to not use our cell phones so that those people who directly affected by the Pentagon scene could communicate.

I was at work, I went into my patients room and was like what are u watching? He said a plane hit the world trade center so i went to turn on the channel so others can see then i went back to his room and i said the other plane is close and it hit. As soon as i saw that i knew what happened my wife worked for AA at that time I told her u might wanna call work. Even if people dont support this war or agree with it dont take it out on our troops that are overseas fighting. Give them your support. Semper Fi

Hi, and warmest greetings on this, one of your blackest days. I was at work and couldnt believe what i was seeing, later that day, my grandson, Colby, was born, so very mixed feelings. When he asks now about 9/11 we tell him the bad men have gone away. Lets all pray to god that they never darken American or British (My country) soil again, or anywhere in the world where decent peole live in peace.

Reno, NV airport waiting on a flight back east. I saw the second plane hit while in a coffee shop on the concourse. Ended up driving a rental car from Reno, NV to Charleston, SC.

I was at work, all meetings were canceled, and people stood around watching the television. We were first notified by the secretary sending out an email. (she had been listening to the radio). They closed down the main streets down-town and sent us home. I loaned a very distraught looking Muslim woman my cell phone.
I asked my wife if she had the television on, she said 'no' I told her to turn it on, she said 'which channel' I said 'doesn't matter'. That's when she knew something major had just happened. *** I have a flag out today ***

I was dozing in front of the TV in Sydney Australia and I think it was about 2am.

The first plane had hit the building and they were showing a re-play when I woke.

Id1ot me thought it was a movie. I remember thinking how realistic it seemed until suddenly it dawned that this was real.

I hate the people who did this, and hate the way they employ the name of their god to validate the psychotic criminal atrocities they commit against humanity.

I was sitting at home with a new born baby wondering how long he would sleep for lol, when all of a sudden I saw it on the tv....suddenly my problems didn't seem near as important as what was going on. My heart goes out to all those that were hurt, lost, injured and all the families.
