We know now that the Titanic broke in two when it was sinking - Robert Ballard discovered this when he found the wreck in 85. However, before this, and from seeing movies such as A Night To Remember, the ship is depicted as sinking whole. Did eyewitness accounts at the time not say otherwise? Why is this so?

I know there are different opinions, but who is the “generally accepted” greatest leader in British history? I think either Benjamin Disraeli, Winston Churchill, or Queen Elizabeth, but I may be wrong.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

Empires have come and gone. Lots of them follow a pattern. They rise, they have a golden age, then they decline. They rise due to a good leader, a common goal, or just pure luck. When they fall, it's usually due to the massive size of the empire, outside forces, internal corruption, or warfare. If America were considered an empire, which point is it at?

but I wanted to know how many of you have more than one period in history you like? I know people have asked if you have just one you like, but do you have more than one. I have read mostly about WW II, but I also have read a lot about the American Revoution, the Andean cultures before the Spaniards, the early Cold War from 1945 to the early 60's and the Civil Rights movement up to the assassination of Dr. King. Do actually have more than one time period or area of interests you like?

They have so many revolutions I am left confused..
So the Czar fell because the ruler was to autocratic, yes? Then Why did communism stick so well?
Was the overthrown form of government origonaly intened to be an autocracy, or something else?
Who were the key people in the revolution? I read Rasputins name somewhere, did he do anything?
How did the revolution effect the people of Russia?

I know, there are many questions! If you could help me, that would be great! Thanks in advance!

Re WW2 etc.
I have no idea what happenenef to the bloke.
I assume that he was despatched in a suitable manner, and wish no harm upon fellow humans, although I have learnt the local lingo, he was seemingly a much despised chap amongst the local & global folks, so I ponder what on earth he had in his ex-mind.
I really do not give a twiddle as tp old politics, but curious as to what actually was the demise of Mussolini.
I read different stories.
Hey Ho.
