Re WW2 etc.
I have no idea what happenenef to the bloke.
I assume that he was despatched in a suitable manner, and wish no harm upon fellow humans, although I have learnt the local lingo, he was seemingly a much despised chap amongst the local & global folks, so I ponder what on earth he had in his ex-mind.
I really do not give a twiddle as tp old politics, but curious as to what actually was the demise of Mussolini.
I read different stories.
Hey Ho.
Bob.

Mussolini was very unpopular here in UK mainly because he stupidly declared war on us. Result of his stupidity was that thousands of innocent Italians [and others] were rounded up and sent to the Isle of Man for the duration of the war.

Italians, for the first time ever in our long shared history, were thus declared 'undesireable aliens'.

Mussolini was killed [shot] by Italian Partisans. His body and that of his girlfriend were then strung up for all to see.

Mussolini is buried in a mausoleum somewhere in Italy which is open to the public to pay their respects or just to visit for a few quiet moments.

Mussolini is best described as a total 'prat'.

He was captured on April 27, 1945 by Italian Communist Partisans. He and his mistress, Clara Petacci, were killed by firing squad on April 28, and on April 29 their bodies were hung upside down on meathooks in the Piazzale Loreto in Milan. The bodies were subjected to a great deal of jeering and abuse. He was buried in an unmarked grave in Milan until sometime in the 1950s, but he is now buried in a tomb in Predappio, his birthplace.

In April 1945, just before the Allied armies reached Milan, Mussolini, along with his mistress Clara Petacci, was caught by Italian partisans as he tried to take refuge in Switzerland. He was summarily executed.

Benito met his fate and was killed by partisan Italian freedom fighters towards the end of WW ll. He was hung, then his body put on display. It was an ugly death but as a Fascist who sided with Hitler and the Nazi's, some think his death was befitting his tyranny and the scourge he put Italy through.

He was strung upside down along with his close aides and his mistress at the end of the war. You'll find more on the net. He wasn't that popular!

After the war, he couldn't help but feel remorse about what he had done. He knew that siding with Hitler was a bad idea, but what's done is done. He slipped quietly out of Italy and moved to New York.

Not knowing what else to de, he became a Chef. He mostly made Italian food of course. Mostly spaghetti and ravioli and things like that. He soon had a very good business. He food was so popular, he wanted to can it and sell it in his restaurant. He just couldn't think of a good name.

To make sure his customers were still happy, every now and then he would yell from the kitchen,

"Ay, isa da ravioli good?"

And the people would shout back.

"Chef, Boy! Are dey."

And soon an Empire was born.

Very nasty death at the hands of an Italian Mob. Caught trying to flee to germany, his escort handed him over to a bunch of partisans, they took him, his mistress and lynched him in front of the mob, which then virtually tore the body to bits.

The partisans hung him and his girlfriend from a lamppost in a square in Italy somewhere. Did not do him much good, not a laughing matter at all.

He and his mistress were caught and executed by Partisans as they attempted to escape the country.
Thereafter - their bodies were hung upside down from a lamppost whereat the public were encouraged, and did, to spit on them, throw things - you get the picture. Nasty business. Nasty man!!
