Ever since I learned about World War 2, and the Holocaust (in 6'th grade) I've been so interested in it. Now I'm an 18 year old high school senior, and I was wondering if there are ANY holocaust survivors who would be happy to share with me THEIR story. (we can talk through e-mail. It's XxjoieXx07@yahoo.com) You don't HAVE to be Jewish, but if you were in ANY of those concentration camps, labor camps, etc, and you experienced what happened I'd love to hear your story. I perfer Jews to tell me their story, but its okay if your not. Toda Raba (that means "thank you very much" in Hebrew.)

There are so many people throughout history just sitting around in Africa unemployed, why couldn't they just get together and start digging canals for their descendants? They would have plenty of crops and shade by now instead of still having nothing. Is it laziness or some actual reason?

I read that they were all driven from the country, into Canada, where they had a hard time establishing themselves. My question is about secret New France history, like in Bath, Maine, where there was a thriving community, with history mostly lost, or obscure.

I have been commissioned to write a short story for a local school in my area from the first-person perspective of a British Marine at Gallipoli, along with a couple of simple pictures that a friend will do.

What is the definitive, most accurate and unbiased account of this conflict?

I am writing about the opening moments of the Gallipoli landings, when the ANZAC and British troops first charged the beaches; in my head I am using the template of the D-Day landings of WW2, just to give me an idea of the environment...would this be accurate? I know it was desert rather than temperate terrain, and the Turks were embedded in fortresses much higher up the cliff tops than the Nazi troops on the Normandy beaches, and of course the technology wasn't as advanced, but is this mental picture I have a good palce to start?

Thanks for any serious help.

there are alot of caucasian/indian mixed people. why isn't this the case for the United States?

My impression of the fact is that the spanish came from europe and settled throughout and mated with the indians and thats why many people from mexico and to south america are half white and half indian (or half white/half black)

and that the English came to settle in the 13 states and eventually the rest of the west....but yet in the U.S., i dont see the mixed race...why is this? im very curious.

Did the spanish and the indian natives embrace each other and the English didnt?

thank you for your response.
