I'm doing a report on the UN, and I'm trying to locate specifically how the UN helped the outcome of the war. Specifically, if possible, how it affected the US side of the war. Please cite sources.

the UN had nothing to do with WW2..founded after wards, as replacement for the ineffective League of Nations which did nothing to prevent WW1........some commentators, even President Roosevelt, loosely spoke of a "united nations" effort to defeat the Axis powers.....what we mostly call the Allies.....but as the first poster said, the UN i as we know it today is a post WW2 operation.
