personally I think the people who that the Holocaust was a hoax are Hitler's believers. The Holocaust wasn't a hoax because who can explain the survivors and Ann Frank's journal if nothing never happen. What can they say about some of the concerting camps that still stand today(if any still are). What can they agree about the facts and some footage of the long rows of body's and the documents of how the use to treat people back then. What can they say to the survivals that are still here nothing. They have no agreement on if the Holocaust was a hoax because there not one.

I don't know whether contemporary questioning of the holocaust has so much to do with antisemitism as it does with the politicization of the event by the state of Israel and its western allies. By making it the sole justification for the creation of the state of Israel, and making it illegal to come up with original conclusions on the subject, the west has brought a historical event into the political arena.
The question is not why are people questioning the Nazi Holocaust; but why of all events in the history of man-kind that are open to debate is the holocaust so protected from historical inquiry. Whether it happened or not, there are other events just as terrible which people contest all the time. Some people say slavery wasn't that bad, some people say the death of 4M in Indochina was not Genocide, that the murder of Amerindians in the US was not systematic, or that the CIA has not been involved in the murder of hundreds of thousands in SE Asia and Central America.
The political protection of the Nazi Holocaust (because it wasn't the only systematic persecution and murder of Jews) from academic inquiry only hurts the credibility of the event. If you care about Nazi crimes being not being repeated you should make sure your government follows through with Nuremberg, Geneva and the UN charter. They were set up in order to avoid another holocaust and they are routinely violated by the major powers. So next time your government launches preemptive warfare remind them of the German invasion of Poland, and next time freedom of expression if under threat go out and protest. You won't honor the holocaust by chasing supposed anti-semites and enemies of Israel... but rather by protecting the oppressed from the tyrants.

To be fair (for what it's worth), the German government has taken full responsibility for the Holocaust. No, there is no propaganda by the German authorities to spin or molliate the history of The Holocaust.
