about the movie 300. there weren't 300 spartans. herodot is a liar. he always lied about greek-persian wars. just like this. and also since when persians(iranians) looked like this ???!!! black ???!! like arabs ???!! putting stuff on their faces ???!!! even if you look at persepolis ruins and the sculptures of king xerses you'll see how he actually looked like. he wasn't bald ,wearing a short !! this movie sucks !! i guess it was one of america's plans trying to show a bad face of iranians...

This is not a misogynistic question. I have often seen portraits of historical figures where they look stunning, but as I understand it modern hygiene practices (i.e. shaving, daily bathing with soap) are a comparatively recent innovation. So were women in the old west, medieval europe, etc. mustached and dirty by today's standards?

Did Malcom X advocate 'ambitions of a 'state within a state'? and was the N.O.I. part of the black power movement? When Malcom X left the N.O.I. did he then advocate Martin Luther King type beliefs on integration? Essentially I am trying to find out whether Malcom X believed in integration or Black power / multi culturalism? thank you every one.

Surely it was a critically important moment in the American colonists' movement towards independence from English rule. All States would do well to join in public remembrance of the moment when the cry "The British are coming" roused brave men to face the imperialist forces at Concord Bridge, and defy their "gun control" efforts. Why is it only in the New England States that this confrontation is commemorated?

Are today's people embarrassed to admit that the independence of America rests on the freedom of the common people, not under the control of any offical government authority, to keep and bear arms?

Isn't it of the essence of America that the highest authority we acknowledge is not the King or his God or his appointed General Gage, but WE THE PEOPLE? Isn't that implicit in the Second Amendment and symbolized by our remembrance of Patriot's Day? [19 April 1775].

Alexander of Macedon although a Greek did not make any distinctions bettween Greeks and ''barbarians'' (foreigners). In a time of war, brutality, slavery he delivered a speach which despite being spoken almost 2500 years ago is still considered modern and unique. I would like to know what is your opinion about this oath and how progressive it was by that times standards or even by todays.
The oath can be obtained here in both English and Greek
