hello, i just had a test in history about the French revolution. a question that i got wrong was, ''Which is the FALSE statement? The French revolution..... a) brought religious peace to france, b) tried to dechristianize europe, c) permanently affected the church or d) did not much affect the church.

I ruled out that a+b were not correct and was left with c, and d. I then decided that d was the best answer, which i soon found out that it was c.

so basically what im trying to ask here, is didnt the french revolution permantly affect the church?

im not too disappointed because i got a 95., but still, a 97 would be better.

If Romans did not bury their dead but cremated or burned them, where did they adopt the practice, because Greeks before them and Jews who were their contemporaries built elaborate essuaries for bones.

Curious that Hindus also cremate their dead. Is this a pagan ritual?

Someone knowledgeable with history please answer.

Out of curiosity, can a battleship unload its main guns at a target right in front of it?

- Like the Richelieu class battleship, which had its full main armament facing the front.
- Or even a ship like the Bismarck or the Iowa ... could they at least fire both their forward turrets at a target directly in front of it?

I mean, yes, I know it would probably damage the deck if done repeatedly, but as a just in case. I guess that would be why broadsides would be preferred. (On the other hand, battleships are designed to withstand the blast from their own guns - even if you fire all of them simultaneously.)

And another thing ... if they could, then why don't battleships just have their full main armament face the front? Like the Richelieu?
