Why did all Catholic countries adopt the Gregorian Calendar immediately?

Pope Gregory decreed it, and it was good. The Pope had a lot of power at the time.

They didn't all. Ireland was a Catholic country, but ruled by England, so it didn't adopt the Gregorian calendar until the same time as England.
