Just before 2 days I chanced to read from a news paper that "In this world no one country could keep the democracy as India could". Writer stresses that all the other countries lost once, twice or more times after they got established the democracy in those countries. so he says if we search within 60 years, we can't find none but India which kept democray as well.

There's a debate in a local school district concerning the teaching of the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II.

The district proposed standards that REQUIRE teachers to present internment in class as morally wrong.

Other argue that you should look at multiple perspectives of the issue and let the students decide for themselves?

What do you think? Are some historical topics so morally repugnant that students be taught what to think about them?
