Theodore Roosevelt, the first president to recognize that our natural resources were being depleted and were in need of preservation. He was the first to set aside land for future generations to enjoy. If you've ever been to Yellowstone or the Grand Canyon you can thank TR that they are not full of tract housing, McMansions or industrial parks. Google him. This is not his only legacy. Too many to write in this space.
