Well, I´d never posted agressive questions before, still my former Yahoo! ID AND Y!Mail (which I had for more then 5 years) have been taken of the air for no reason or previous notice/violation (nor has my e-mail been inactive for long periods of time, for I acessed it on a daily basis). All I ever did was to post rational or provocative inquiries and answers. I´ve just received an "answer" e-mail from Yahoo! regarding this simple question: "WHY did I loose my accounts?" Not only did they NOT answer it, but yet told me that under no circumstances my account will be reinstated. DOES THAT MEAN TORQUEMADA´S DESCENDANTS ARE Yahoo!´s CEOs??

Hi, I live in the US and have always been interested in the history of television and media in European counrtries. I know many americans began having televisions in their homes in the late 1950's . But I think it was the early 1960's before most had them. Can anybody tell me how it all started in Europe and how it progressed till now?

Also , were American /Hollywood films prevalent right after WWII in Europe ? How did it grow? I was just curious because I know last time I was in Europe it seemed that american media was very strong there ( like american songs on many of the radio stations and so on).

Was there American music and film immediately after WWII?

I know how the industrial and "moral" development of the North and South contributed to the start of the US Civil War but I have no clue how the development of the west contributed to it. Anyone know? It would be VERY helpful.

Also, if anyone can give me more detail about the theory that the north got involved in the war to gain more control of the south, rather than to stop slavery, that would be good too. I've heard that the North used slavery as a moral excuse to start the war rather than a logical one and that the main goal of the north was to just gain further economic and political control of the south.

This is for an essay, thanks. If you can't get to both questions, answer my first one if you can't get both.
