OK yesterday day i got fired from a job because i refused to call person an African American. like i told my boss right before he fired me to me there is no African Americans out there we are all American. and u don't see me calling myself a German American so why should i have to call them a African Americans. and further more none of them are even from Africa the guy that had me fired was from Chicago he was an American the same as me. i think that that term just causes a a bigger rift in us as a nation by that term because it still them rubbing the slavery issue in our face

sorry the whole reason it got started was i refured to one of my friends as black and this guy got all bent out of shape and and demanded i call my Friend African American. my Friend told me it didn't matter and we walked away but he went to the boss

I was on vacation a few weeks ago around Plymouth, MA and read something in an exhibition about how girls when growing up used to be tied to hardwood boards for several hours a day (not sure if they were laying down or standing up) to make their backs straighter as this was considered a good thing. Does anyone know if this is true or was common or uncommon.

I am a guy playing in part a girl role in a play (set in Elizabethan times) and I am really getting an insight into how badly women were treated through the ages. This was just another example if this is true.

I mean the Romans, Spanish, French, Persians, Mughals, Turks etc etc. all had their empires, secured in brutal conflicts. Why does everyone give the British a hard time? Is it cos the British were highly successful?

Can we just copy and paste this kind of info out to others so people around the earth can contact someone from North Korea to get a big world message back to their leader? Below is just one person. Find others if you like and contact them.
H. K. Shin
Hyung K. Shin is professor of chemistry, University of Nevada, Reno.
Today, H. K. Shin is an internationally respected chemist, but in the pages of his memoir, Remembering Korea 1950, he carries us back to Korea during a pivotal moment in that country's history. It is a stirring monument to the survival of human decency and kindness in the midst of terror, cruelty, despair, and the destruction of a proud nation.

Robert E. Lee graduated 2nd in his class, but was referred to as the marble man because he didn't earn on demerits, my question is who graduated 1st in his class? I sent 2 letters to Shelby Foote regarding this question and he never responded and now he has passed, so I thought I would pose it here.

I heared a few times that Nazis were shocked about the ways the Ustase (Croatian rebbels) and other collaborators killed people in the Balkans. My question is if Hitler himself was shocked, and if Penis Clinton or Injustice Goldstone ever happened to express any kind of shock when hearing about the ways Croatian rebbels, Bosnia's Islamic fundamentalists and Albanian terrorists butchered Serbs.
