What do you bring to the class? By that, I mean do you expect all of life to be entertaining?

History, to me, was always a fascinating study because it's all about people and how they lived and what they thought and how changes came about.

It's also useful because this subject demonstrates over and over again how humans seem unable to learn from past mistakes--look at the Hundred Years' War between England and France and then look at the Vietnam War. Consider the Thirty Years' War in the 1600's and see what parallels can be drawn between it and the conflict between Sunnis and Shiites in Iraq--or, perhaps even better, the Catholic-Protestant strife in Northern Ireland.

Gold is where you find it, and you can even find things of value in a history class if you adjust your attitude somewhat.

the teacher totally makes a lot of difference!! my history teacher is an enthusiastic one so he kinda shouts when he teaches ( which wakes everyone up ) some teachers are just DULL. or maybe the stuff that they teach in history is just plain dead boring after all =S

class is boring because of the teacher and the way he/she teaches... or the subject itself... an ability of a man in listening in class discussion is only 35minutes...

Perhaps you just do not have an interest in learning from past successes/failures?
