I have seen this on the net and on the news. The Mexican government keeps talking about taking the United States to the UN security counsel about us building a wall ON OUR SIDE OF THE BORDER.

Now get this, “Mexico's president-elect Felipe Calderon said during a state visit to Canada, comparing it with the Berlin Wall.”

That is were my question comes into play. Can anyone tell me how this is similar to our current situation? Because last I check the United States of America was a sovereign county and so was Mexico. Did we become one great city that was ripped apart by a coalition of other counties?

I just can not see the comparison. I am not saying weather I want the wall or not. I just do not understand how a country and its leaders could get there history horribly wrong.

Maybe if they would have fought in WWII they would be better educated today?

I am an African American who has always been interested in finding out more information about my roots. Oral traditions in my family suggest that we came from Ethiopian Hebrews that migrated to West Africa 200 yrs before the slave trade. I went to a organization that took samples of my DNA AND TO MY SUPPRISE I my ancesters came from FREAKIN GERMANY!!!! (I WAS SHOCKED AND TO BE HONEST A BIT MADDDD, I thought it was a trick, but it was true))

This brings me to my pressing question, If I as an African American have stronger ancesteral ties to Germany than I do my own homeland, what statement does this say about race? Is race more of a societal or social construction than a biological one? If an African American can have more DNA commonalities then his/her original people (Africans) then the whole concept of race and ethnicity needs to be re-explored.

definition of what is sovereignty of staes.then argue how it is affecting sovereignty of states for example states do not have control over their monetary policy,or they have to wait for the green light of other countries before they can adopt a certain policy, most emninent monetary policy.also should talk about external ties with other trading blocs outside the EU,whether it is possible for EU members to forge trading agreement with non-EU members.then discuss by saying it does not really undermine state sovereignty because member do have some policies which they can adopt without consultation of other states...example their defence policy or their education policy.
