Who teaches you history, surely not a teacher?
Firstly, the original Olympics had very few contestants, each member city furnishing no more than 1 person for each event, and only upto 3 events taking part. Hence, it may have helped about 30 people stay fit, hardly enough to fight a war.
The primary event was Greek Wrestling (now termed Greco-Roman Wrestling and bearing no relation to the wrestling on your tv) which was competed for by men, in the nude. Women were not even allowed to attend the Olympics. Whilst it is true that during the period the Olympics were being contested (about 1 week every 4 years) all battles stopped, though they began again after the games, so no real peace or unity was brought to Ancient Greece, just a temporary ceasefire like that on Christmas Eve 1914 between England & Germany in WW1.
All activities were dedicated to the Gods, including wars, but probably B/ is the correct answer, though the keep-fit thing is a load of old 'marbles'.

The ancient Olympic Games were primarily a part of a religious festival in honor of Zeus, the father of the Greek gods and goddesses. The festival and the games were held in Olympia
The Greeks that came to the Sanctuary of Zeus at Olympia shared the same religious beliefs and spoke the same language. The athletes were all male citizens of the city-states from every corner of the Greek world
The only prizes given were wreaths of leaves, olive, laurel.
The celebration of the Olympic Games in antiquity was an occasion for citizens of scattered Greek city-states to assemble. At the Games they discussed important political issues, celebrated common military victories and even formed political and military alliances.
The Olympic Truce was instituted to protect against military incursions which interrupted the Games.
The Truce, protected athletes, visitors, spectators and official embassies who came to the festival from becoming involved in local conflicts.

Hope this helps you a bit.
