there should be a web site, what you want is land registration. also as an idea on age of the house you can look at materials used. i.e. victorian houses did not have a damp course or footings. the type of brick used etc can give you a rough idea of age.

Try the deeds to your house. Our Building Society will not store them so we have deeds and other info relating to the land and when the house was built in the 30's and every subsequent sale to date.

You can usually go on line and check out the tax records of a house. Most counties have their appraisal district records on line now.
