It seems to be commonly accepted that the Native Americans populated the Americas (now United States) before the arrival of Europeans. My question is, were there there any groups here before the Native Americans? And, if so, how did the Native Americans obtain the land and how did they get here?

Thank you.

Both male and female. I know a fair amount about when they're ~14+ (and in any case, there are plenty of sites to research that age further), but what about a younger child of ~2-13 years? I haven't been able to find anything on it.

If anyone could give me any information, provide links to sites that discuss it, or even suggest books on the topic that I could read, I'd be grateful.

When we say the word "history," doesn't that imply that writing, or some form of documentation, is involved? Therefore, the word "written" in front of it would be pointless, since you're already talking about things that are written about anyway.

This is something that just kind of occurred to me just now. What are everyone else's thoughts on this? Am I just splitting hairs, here?

- What brother did King Gustav III like more, Fredrik or Karl?
- Was Duke Karl's guide (Reuterholm) evil or was he just extremely incompetent?
- Regarding the war with Russia: Didn't King Gustav know that Duke Karl had no naval skills? Why didn't the king order him to have special training?
- Why did Sweden ask Bernadotte to be king? How could Sweden want someone who previously worked for Napoleon, knowing that Napoleon was a hypocrite who represented blood-thirsty extremists while spending extravagantly and ruling like a tyrant and a dictator?
- What exactly was Fabian von Fersen's role as a banking officer? How did he obtain this position if Sweden no longer wanted Gustavians in power? After his brother's assassination on June 20, 1810, where did Fabian go, what was his title and what work did he do? Was his son a Republican or a Gustavian, like the family?
- Where are Queen Hedvig's memoirs today?

I would like to know as much as possible about ladies-in-waiting (not just those in the royal courts) during the Middle Ages, particularly in England in the later part of the Middle Ages (c. 1300-1500 or thereabouts). I have tried to search on the internet and have found very little information. I have found the Wikipedia entry and a few sites on famous royal ladies-in-waiting who lived after the period I'm interested in (ditto with books I have found on the topic), but not much else. I would like to learn all I can about the profession in general. How did one become a lady-in-waiting? What was it like to have such a job? What were their relationships with their ladies like? What about their relationships with others in the castles where they lived? What rules of conduct did they in particular have to observe? Every second, I think of new questions! Does anyone know a lot about this, or can anyone direct me to someone who does (or perhaps both)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I always hear "Blacks haven't contributed because they have been slaves" but what was invented in Africa by the Africans that made an impact? Were there any ancient wonders built by Black Africans? What famous architecture, philosophy, technological advancements have come out of Africa by the Blacks?
Exclude Egypt because they weren't/aren't Black.
I'm looking for truthful answers because after some research I found very very little.
