I always hear "Blacks haven't contributed because they have been slaves" but what was invented in Africa by the Africans that made an impact? Were there any ancient wonders built by Black Africans? What famous architecture, philosophy, technological advancements have come out of Africa by the Blacks?
Exclude Egypt because they weren't/aren't Black.
I'm looking for truthful answers because after some research I found very very little.

Oh and before you say "Blacks slaves built the pyramids", do some research. New evidence shows that the pharoahs had their own men work on the pyramids. NOT SLAVES.

"Recently-discovered worker's tombs have shown how pyramids were made and how important workers were: the pyramid workers were paid craftsmen, not slaves, and they had their own city at Giza. Egyptologists also have presented several pieces of evidence showing this, including proof that many laborers worked on the Pyramids during periods of Nile flooding when farming and harvesting were impossible. Contributing to the Pyramid construction was, religiously, a very good deed for them."

Funny you say slaves built the nation. Which thrives more, the north or the south? The slaves certainly didn't built the north up. Where do you get your history from? Childrens stories? Give me a break.
Nelson Mandela is a JOKE. He is a communist lunatic.

You talk about the sub Sahara Africa.
Nothing good ever came out.
They didn't even created civilization like in all the other parts of the world, even the most extreme ones to live.
Their only exception is the settlement of great Zimbabwe which had no impact on any other civilization, even in the sub Sahara Africa.

Truth be told African History is not taught well in Western school it is taught only to put them down. All the countries are known for different things. I am Nigerian in Nigeria The Benin Kingdom was known for their beautiful bronze artifacts that are so rare the British still have most of them in England. Also The Yoruba invented a new st lye of Dashiki shirts that are died a special way. That is just a few from Nigeria Ivory Coast is known for the obvious their Ivory crafts are some of the best in the world who can really compete. I agree with you There is not too much known in the Western world I did not have the pleasure of learning to much about African history I lived abroad most of my life and still do. My mom was the Curator of the Benin Museum in the 1970's and that is how I got a little information on the Benin Kingdom. Hopefully one day when I have a family I can give my kids what I never got in terms of African history. One more thing Wole Soyinka is a famous Writer from Nigeria so is Chinua Achebe. Also the first African to be a magistrate in England was a Nigerian Single mother of three. The other good that has come out are the beautiful people ones people do see all the time models and their are actors and singers etc.

Humanity - we can all trace our roots back to Africa. Since you wish to exclude Egypt (even though the Nubians were an important part of their development) I can also presume that you wish to exclude most of Northern Africa as the people there appear more Arabic than African. This rules out Morrocco and Tunisia. The environment conspires to undo many advancements as buildings can not stand against the desert or the jungle. Africa is not now nor was it ever as densely populated as Europe or India and I think that with denser populations comes the need to make great advancements in architecture and technology. The Africans simply didn't need to build great temples - their religions were more personal and earthy nor did they need to process coal for heating or mass produce clothing to protect against the cold.
The Ethiopians have been safeguarding what may be the Ark of the Covenant since the Queen of Sheba brought it back at King Solomon's request. There are many beautiful monastaries and churches in Ethiopia that were built by the Ethiopians - no missionaries involved.
As for philosophy, I learned something while I was in Africa. We Americans have our watches and our schedules but the Africans have time.

First of all the Egypians were black. As for good things that came out of Africa two of them are Nelson Mandela and Dr. King. As for monuments there are some pyramids found in Ethiopia that were not built by the Egyptians. Most modern day Egyptians do not look black because of intermarriage. Also If u look carefully at the Bible and the lineage of Christ you see that he had at least one Black person in his ancestry (Solomon's wife). Also if you read the Bible carefully you see that Ishmael had a black mother. Moses and Joseph both married black women and at least four of the great ancient empires were founded by blacks. Also if u had done better research you would have found that both central and south africa had great civilizations before europeans colonized them. And if you read the Bible you discover that the various asian nationalities descended probably from Ham(Noah's Son) so that would mean that the great Chinese dynasties may have descended from blacks. Obviously you notice that different enviroments produce different shades of black as seen in africa. And as was previously stated our original ancestors were black. (Whether you believe the Bible or evolution they were.) The next time you do research try not to get all your facts from the KKK's website.

Most peoplea are saying labor and whatnot. But I'll say something more recent. How about the elevator? Crop Rotation. The Stop Light, The Blood bank, research on the heart.
P.S. Race was not an issue until recently, it didn't exist during the time of the ancient egyptians. BUT, King Tut (an egyptain) would have been considered black in todays times. Egyptains were dark, as a whole, and would be considered black.

Your question has many implications.
It takes to other questions,like
What good came out from Tibet?
What good came out from Muslim faith?
and more.
Africa has been the cradle of the makind.
If Egyptians werent africans, then werent Africans the civilizations
who populated all the north, along the Mediterranean sea.
From there came some of the most important philosophers of history, but they re known as Greeks, since the ancient Greece's civilization was scattered from Italy to the present Tunisia ,Lybia,Egypt and Lebanon,Turkey.
Central Africa seems not to have partecipated to the late development of technology or Culture, so many other places,i think:

Well, willingly or not, black slaves built this country. Without them, we wouldn't have been able to make it economically. So, America kinda came out of Africa.
One of the most influencial leaders of all time came out of Africa - Nelson Mandella.
I think a lot of our ideas on family structure came from African influences.
And, uh, hate to break it to you, but there were slaves in the north. And notice how the south's economy went downhill when the slaves were freed? That means the slaves helped the economy. Are you ******* stupid?

all the continents of the world- you didn't respond to this, so I'm going to keep going.
Namibia; Swaziland; Cape Verde; Zimbabwe; Kenya;Congo; Algeria; Ethiopia; Western Sahara; Tongo; Somalia; Mali; Mauritania; Djibouti; Libya; Malawi; Cameroon; Gabon; Morocco; Eritrea; Saint Helena...... Too many to list, but whether you want to believe it or not, these people are absolutely beautiful! -
ugh!!!- Egyptians were not white!!! You can't start off as white in Africa!- It's Africa! These people looked middle eastern, as what they are. They were a mixture of races. And they are/were Africans! Not every country in Africa has very dark skin. Look at the countries I've listed above.

The answer is that Africans haven't contributed much, outside of a few African kingdoms like Kush and Mali and modern times. This has nothing to do with the people themselves, and everything to do with Africa itself. It is, for the large part, either desert or jungle, and, I believe, with the exception of the Nile, none of the rivers are navigable down their whole lengths(or, at least, pretty close). So you basically end up with the perfect recipe for small, isolated communities that cannot often exchange ideas because of the difficulty of making and keeping contact in a trackless jungle with no truly good shipping routes. Small tribal communities without much income who have to spend a lot of time dealing with immediate concerns like hunting/finding dinner and self-defense cannot really hope to be as prolific as civilizations like the Greeks and Chinese were, posessing far more prosperous land and much more time to ponder things like the stars and the meaning of life because they aren't as busy ensuring that they'll be alive tomorrow..

Much has come out of Africa, by the sound of things, you aren't black. Does one have to be a particular race to be part of society?Endurance...Black people,Africans, the minority as they are referred to, have endured the worst kind of abuse humans had to offer, just because they weren't looked at as human beings. Do you think whites toiled in the blazing heat and worked the land? Did they build the high rise buildings? Did they end apartheid for the black man? Did the white man of... you know which countries... come to Africa to marry the black women?or to kidnap slaves to slave in their land, build it, and take sweet credit for it. By the way....2day is Nelson Mandela's birthday, and while you at it....check out Africa's growth and economy rate, esp.
SOUTH AFRICA!!!!Im proud to be South African.

Ok then, you want examples of "good" that has come out of Africa?
Beer!. The Egyptians made beer by filtering water through a half-cooked bread dough, then fermenting it long before the Germans were out of their caves. (I've tried beer made with the egyptian method, and while it's uncarbonated, it is good)
