I have spent some time alone, in the mountains of Colorado. I know that Mount Everest is a much more difficult climb than any mountains here in the USA. You asked about the dangers of climbing Everest here are some I know about. First there is the air or lack of it. You should live a couple of months at its base, allowing your body to produce more red blood cells to carry oxygen to your body, brain. any number of people have to turn back for this reason.or suffer the terrific head aches that result from continual Oxygen starvation. Next of course is the cold. Unless you live on Alaska's north slope you probably Don't know the type cold I am talking about. Where when wind is 30mph and temperature is a minus 30*f any exposed flesh freezes in 30 seconds! Winds on Everest can easily reach two or three times that. There are also avalanche dangers, rock falls,a sudden change in wind and weather can kill you if you are not prepared to deal with it. Although equipment is much lighter and better than it used to be remember when you are buying it, that you are going to carry it, up the side of a mountain that locals say may not want you there!

Well, there's the lack of oxygen at high altitudes, the steepness of the climb, the sub-zero (F) temperatures, the high winds, the sudden storms, the ice slides, the crevasses, and so on. And this is in the summer.

Extreme altitude, which means very low levels of oxygen and very cold temperatures. Also, the weather is very sporadic and can trap people on the mountain.

I wold assume its the cold, the lack of oxygen, and the straight up rock walls, and the ice, snow, and strong winds.
