An estimate that I read from a book call 'None Died In Vain', suggested that the Federals Fielded 2,000,000 Men and the Confederates 700,000. As eor the army of the Patomic for exaple the figure would vary depending on which period of the war and what battle.

In fact one of the marks of a good commander was in estimating what were called skulkers: ergo men who would find every excuse under the sun to avoid the frontline on the day of a big battle! The morning of a big fight was the only time, save Holidays, that the men were fed hot meals! That made it easy to know when Hell was comming!

it is puzzling to bear in mind wars or battles that did not ensue on your soil. a lot of human beings from both North and South visit the battlegrounds each and every 365 days, which predominantly occured on southern soil. alongside an similar lines of the North "forgetting" the Civil warfare, we frequently ignore the completed thing of the first international warfare because it wasn't in our "backyard". apart from Pearl Harbor or 15 August 1945, we've also frequently forgotten international warfare II. video games and specials on the historic previous or protection rigidity Channel aside, the only those who nevertheless carry any importance in WWII are the individuals who lived by potential of it.
