So,I took Jazz for almost three solid years. I loved it and I miss it dearly. I'm interested in tap and ballet (eventually pointe). I'm 19,I'll be 20 this year. Anyone happen to know of anywhere that's well priced and a good school in the Fayetteville, North Carolina area? One that does adult classes? I'd appreciate some help.

Is there any dancer today who could hope to match the talent and charisma of Fred Astaire? If you don't know who Fred Astaire is, please don't answer this question. Thanks.

Saw a modern dance outfit recently. Mesmerising, beautiful. But what I really couldn't get my head round was how the choreographer was able to visualise all that and then communicate it to the dancers. There's just too much going on! Over a dozen dancers doing completely weird and incoherent things with their bodies, yet it all adds up to an astonishing whole. So:

is there some kind of code or notation?

is it a universal notation, like in music, or does each choreographer have their own?

what do you do when completely new and bizarre moves are invented that don't fit the code?

hi, my daughter is 2.3/4 yrs old (33 months) and she's a very active child, she loves to dance, sing and just so full of energy. She might be starting head start this yr, and my mom keeps bugging me about getting her into some kind of dance class. It sounds interesting and something i would like to get my daughter into "some day" but im thinking about waiting til after she starts head start and gets use to being around other adults and kids, and if she still likes danceing and singing, im thinking about asking her if shes interested in dance classes when shes around 4-5 yrs old, would that be a perfect age? and how would i go about getting her started?

Are your movements dependent on the snare sound or do you count steps?
