I'm just wondering. Because some people think that the longer books are boring and drawn out, while other people love to read them.

Mostly I'm asking this question because I'm writing a book.

I'm planning on writing a book. Now in the book, I may mention certain known brand names, restaurants, companies. For instance, I may write about the protagonist going to McDonald's. Do I need to ask for their permission to mention them in the book? If I do, what is the process behind that? Thanks!

Has anyone noticed that in the first book (Angus Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging) and in the fifth book (Away Laughing on a Fast Camel) that Georgia is sent the almost EXACT same letter (first one from her dad and then one from Robbie (i.e. the Sex God))?? Why do you think louise rennison did that? Is there something weird about New Zealand (like with like hypnotic powers?? sounds dumb... i know but its hard not to think it!)? Give me your opinion!

In "Pride and Prejudice," the Bennets' house and property is "entailed." Everyone understands that Mr. Collins will inherit upon Mr. Bennet's death. Who would have entailed this property? Why wouldn't it pass to the oldest son of Mr. Bennet's oldest daughter, who in this case would be Jane's oldest son? Thanks for any information.

It's just pure fun!
I saw an old article in Forbes magazines about their top 15 richest fictional characters, with people such as Bruce Wayne, Willy Wonka and Jay Gastby. So I was wondering "what is the net worth of the Malfoys from Harry Potter series?"
It could be in Galleons, US dollars or British pounds.

what would you like her main character to be like? Which one of the characters in the Harry Potter series would you think of as a model for the main character in a new series? Would you want a new class starting at Hogwarts, or a brand new setting and premise? What about a prequel to show us the youths of Dumbledore, Snape, and Harry's parents?

I am 31, female, I like funny chick books such as "Bridgette Jones's Diary", "Confessions of a Shopaholic" etc.....

I also love books that sort of make you feel warm inside, nice stories.

So I am looking for suggestions on what book I should read next. What do you think?

Are there any rumors flying around about the 7th and final harry potter book. What do you think will happen in the final book? Vicktor Krumb is returning, do you think Hermione will end up with him or Ron? Where do you think Snape's loylaty lies? What do you think will happen with Harry and Ginny, will they get back together? Will Harry die? Is Harry's scar the last horcrux? Who do you think will die in the final book and why(besides Voldemort ^_^)...what stuff have you heard, tell me here!

The final book is suppose to come out July 7th 2007 (07/07/07) 7 being a magical #, and that date being the 10 year anniversary of the first book coming out.

Oh...and what do you think will be in the 5th movie, what do you think the director will cut out, how long do you think it will be? Etc.!
