Hi, the following poems are not so much about water and air as they are about traveling on water or through air, but I'm sharing them anyway because these classics are great:

SEA-FEVER

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;
And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and white sail’s shaking,
And a gray mist on the sea’s face, and a gray dawn breaking.

I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.

I must go down the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull’s way and the whale’s way, where the wind’s like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And a quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.

John Masefield

HIGH FLIGHT

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, --and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of—wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there,
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air…

Up, up the long, delirious burning blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or ever eagle flew—
And while with silent, lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

As clouds do float along in air,
So my hope begins to flair.
As embers in a dying fire,
Can be rekindled from the mire.
So does my heart begin to soar
Within these confines nevermore.

As my feet did touch the earth,
My soul departs with joyous mirth.
As water rushes down to sea,
The love inside has been set free.
And breaking forth in grateful song,
The life inside is ever strong.

The Fire Of Passion
by Shadow Of Light
You burn within me
Like the fire of passion
When I see you
My eyes smile once again
My lips long for you
My heart pounds within my chest

I think of you
Every day
Every night
Ever minute that I can

Your kisses - gentle.
Your character - sweet.
Your body - demanding.
I love you.

Your hair is like water ever flowing
like the cold winters always snowing

When I stare up in the air beyond the clouds all I see is forms of you
Like my mother always said, don't just swallow. chew.

You graze this beautiful earth like a gift from god himself
I left my tweezers on the book shelf

Your skin is like water down the river bend
I lost the letter will you re-send?

If u want to know.
When the fire in U wakes up, there U will be angry.
When there is no air in this world, there isn't U r ME.
When there is no water, there isn't any tears.
And if there is no earth, there won't be U or ME.
