If J. K. Rowling were to do another series after she finishes Harry Potter . . .?

Question

what would you like her main character to be like? Which one of the characters in the Harry Potter series would you think of as a model for the main character in a new series? Would you want a new class starting at Hogwarts, or a brand new setting and premise? What about a prequel to show us the youths of Dumbledore, Snape, and Harry's parents?

I think she could do a lot with Longbottom. A kid who is kinda clumsy, and not very good at things, but who always tries. And his past is just as tragic as Potter's. Obviously she couldn't use the actual Longbottom but a new character similar to him would make a good story.

I'm hoping she'll write some of the books that have been mentioned in the series. I, for one, would love to read Hogwarts, A History..XD Even if Rowling doesn't continue to write about Harry, there are TONS of fanfics out there.

You know, I would love to read about Harry's parents, the Marauders and the First War Against Voldemort (Wizarding World I, or WW I).

But sadly it's not going to happen. Apparently she is going to write adult detective/mystery stories under another name. She has already written a book about a monster for younger children; it's a political fairy tale.

I'm going to cry big time at the end of Book 7. No more Harry!

If she's smart, she'll go nowhere near Hogwarts ever again. There's nothing worse for an imaginitive person than being forced to constrain your ideas to one narrow field because of outside pressures.

Rowling herself said that she could understand quite well why Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would want to kill off his creation (Sherlock Holmes) despite the character's immense popularity...

She can continue by sending Harry to Auror school. But I think it would be cool if she went to a different school. You know, send a good character to that sinister school, Durmstrang.
