I am a reader and writter of horror fiction and have found that a great deal of it is based on the authors dreams and nightmares. So apart from simply increasing my dream recall is there anything that I can do to induce nightmares?

My friend is recommending this book to me. Besides all her positive remarks, I would like to know other aspects to it.

Do you think it's possible to read it without forming any political opinion, but just to use it as an example of how to write a bad book? I read it in high school, and yeah, I was offended, but then I just wrote it off(no pun intended) as a good guidebook for budding young authors like myself on how NOT to write^_^. Let's face it, the man was a hack writer. He couldn't even put a decent paragraph together.

We all know he could have been told by Dumbledore in his mind ot kill him. Plus, how can you doubt Dumbledore's confidence in the guy? Fundamentalist Dumbledorians unite!

For example, I just finished reading "At Home With the Marquis de Sade." Does anyone know of any other interesting, well-written biographies?

Emily Dickinson - After great pain, a formal feeling comes
After great pain, a formal feeling comes --
The Nerves sit ceremonious, like Tombs --
The stiff Heart questions was it He, that bore,
And Yesterday, or Centuries before?

The Feet, mechanical, go round --
Of Ground, or Air, or Ought --
A Wooden way
Regardless grown,
A Quartz contentment, like a stone --

This is the Hour of Lead --
Remembered, if outlived,
As Freezing persons, recollect the Snow --
First -- Chill -- then Stupor -- then the letting go --

I've been asked to read it as part of a course of study but I'm swamped at work! A quick summary from someone who has read it would be so helpful.

THEY BORE ME TO DEATH! Tell me something different, something I don't know about THEM and I might change my mind. I'm not being ignorant, I am being honest. Something a lot more of us should do. Thank You!

Just for the knowledge, not because you would receive any academic recognition for doing so.

This is my second try. The first question: "What's your opinion and give me a name for this character?" Maybe I gave too superficial info the first time. I will try again. As I said before, he strictly follows his own code of honor and good and evil. He will see the shades of grey and meet true evil as he goes along. He has a hard time making attachments to people and being serious with them causing many people to see him as obnoxious. I am trying not to give too many details, but ask if need more info.

This is only a first glance stereotype for the character so please no insulting comments. This is a teenage boy who still believes in heroics and a code of honor. He will fight literally whenever he sees a wrong done, but he's just not strong enough and loses constantly. He is really hotheaded. He really does believe in helping others out. He is not very serious in conversations with others. Some may even call him obnoxious.

I written many magazine type articles on a variety of subjects. Who do I send these to so that are read by the right people (agents, publishers, editors, etc.) and can be published instead of getting rejection letters?
