Photographers, if you had to choose between the Canon 30D and the Nikon D80, which would you choose and why? I'm not too concerned with lenses at this time, I pretty much know which direction to go there, just concerned with a good body. I'm a novice photographer switching my platform to digital and I'm really torn between the two, with the biggest difference between them being price. As a newcomer to photography, should I concern myself with buying a good body, regardless of price, or is one truely better than the other?

One person could only criticize my grammar, since my comments were written faster than most people can find the keyboard. Are there other people out there who believe beauty pageants are a worth while endeavor and not merely a publicized meat market?
thanks

Seeing those arrogant and brutal Spartan crowing about the supposedly enlightened values that their child-murdering state defended in the face of Eastern ''tyranny'', is a stark reminder that even though many centuries may have passed since those events took place, the Western world continues to cherish a misplaced sense of moral and cultural superiority where its relationship with the East is concerned.

Hey,

I would like to ask a question about my digital camera and it's settings. I would like to know what settings to set it on to get my pictures to come out like the human eye is seeing. I don't know how to explain, I mean when I take a picture it's like the flash picks up too much of the object I'm taking, I would like to know how far away should I be from the target to get the picture to come out like the human eyes sees it. For example if you take a close up of someone, with the camera and the flash you tend to see the pores of the person of some small mark, which you don't see with your eyes. My questions is what seetings (ISO, White Balance etc..) and how far away should the camera be from the object. Do you think without the flash you take more "human eye" pictures, because I think that with the flash the picture comes out better. Thanks for your help I hope you understand my question!

Do you think it would do any good for the UK to apologise for its involvement in the Slave Trade 200 or so years ago. Ive never heard so much cobblers in my life. Whilst it was a disgraceful episode in our history perhaps we should ask the Scandinavians to apologise for the rape and pilaging here ,or the Italians for what the Romans did through the length and breadth of the country. How do you feel about it
