If you are referring to the Holocaust. Jewish people had been in Europe for ages. If you didnt notice a world map there was no Israel at that time. They had been chased out much earlier and lost their homeland. They cane to Europe for the same reasons other groups did. They had lived there for centuries and many were considered regualr citizens as much as any other group. During the Holocaust they were relocated to Poland and other countries to be exterminated. They were treated as subhumans by the Nazi regime.

Sigh- you that clueless? The six million Jews killed by the Nazis were from across the whole of Europe. At the start most were not under Nazi control, but fell under their power whent hey conquered Eastern Europe and parts of Russia. As for going home- most had lived in their countries for centuries- and even those who did want to leave couldn't go to many countries since they weren't allowing jewish immigration- including palestine to which the British had resrticted Jewish immigration to around a 1000 per year.

They didn't have a country to go home to until 1945. In hindsight Germany was not the place to hang out but who could have predicted a holocost.
