The Mummy or Ramses the Damned by Anne Rice

Are they part of a series? If so, which series? What number are they in the series?

I bought them for $1.00 at the library today, but I'm not sure if they are part of a series or not. It doesn't say.

No Stephen King, no Clive Barker, no John Saul, and no Dean Koontz. No-name authors only. I hate the crap these people put out after the success of their first 3 or 4 novels because the publisher is selling a brand name, not a good book. Internet searching is a-ok, but so far doing that myself only The House and Heart-Shaped Box have come up. I need the titles of the books, not author names. Short story horror collections too, but nothing more than 8 years old. New.

I need a muse....I dont need your body, rather I need to hear your passions, intensities for life, your most heart felt questions....the thoughts and intents of your hearts. Wont you pour out to me the longings of your soul. Allow me--with words, and art and music to grant you that which your heart can only faintly see.....I need a muse....

This guy has made the TV news here in Hawaii. A guy leaves the marine corps base on his R6, quickly has the bike redlined in sixth gear, and keeps the speeds in the triple digits all the way down the H3. Then, he posts a video of it on youtube.

There is a long thread on this video on a local discussion board. I noticed that many people have so much hostility toward him! Even other sportbike riders are saying things wishing that he would crash, get swerved into by a car, brake checked, etc. Which is funny because I've personally seen many of the people on that same forum run from the cops, top out their bikes on public roads, 75mph in residential twisties... (We dont have a track anymore.)

Soooo, here is my question... why are so many people wishing death on this rider? He has some serious guts and is living completly in the present -- I can only admire that.

it seems that everyone feels as if they are a great philosopher and have the answers to everything and anything. for example if you ask a question about the works of one of the greatest philosophers of all time, and an average person from yahoo somehow comes up with a theory that seems to contradict the theory then would you beleive him?? because if he was correct then that would mean that he himself is one of the greatest minds correct? after all he refuted an intelligent peice of philisophical work from a very intelligent mind. what do you think?

Ok I have to read six poems: The five stages of grief by Linda pastan, The passionate shepherd to his love by Christopher Marlowe, Because I could not stop for death by Emily Dickinson, I Grew Up by Lenore Keeshig-Tobias, If a poem could walk by Lorna Crozier and Did I miss anything by Tom Wayman. Ok after I read all these poems I have to answer these questions...
1. Are there examples of simile, metaphor or personification? if so what are they?
2. what do you think of the sound of the poem? the rhyme, rhythm and words used?
3.does the poet appeal to any of your senses? if so what?
4.does the poet use alliteration, onomatopoeia, assonance or consonance? what are they?
5.what are the examples of the poet building mood?
6.what are the examples of the poet using vivid language?

Ok now you know what i have to do. Can anyone help out, you can give me the answers or direct me to a place where I can get the answers...
Thanks so much for your help in advance

I have just started a pole dancing class at the beginning of Feb. every tues. till the end of March and then I am going to take level 2 in April till May. Stay in level 2 till I fill confident and move to level 3 through 6. My birthday is in Oct. and I am turning 21. My friends are going to take me to Rockafellers and I am going to dance on the pole there.
I am worried I will not know enough plus I am on a diet and am afraid that I will not look good enough.
I am 20 years old. 142 lbs. now. (Lost 6 lbs. from pole dancing already). Want to be 125 lbs. by Oct. and have 36C boobs. and wear a size 9. I used to have very flat stomach but since I met my bf we ate out a lot and now it just a little pudger then I would like it to be.
