World war 2?

I dont really like to look up stuff about wars.
But do any of you guys know about the holacaust.
Just an exiperement. my class had to read "number the stars"

Specifically, the Holocaust refers to the attempted genocide of European Jews by the Nazi government as part of The Final Solution to the Jewish Question.

However, it is dangerous to define the Holocaust in such a simple way. The true nature and definition of this dark time can (and does) fill many books and studies.

For example, although the Jewish population was the primary target of the Holocaust, other innocent victims were massacred, such as Jehovah's Witnesses, Gypsies, political enemies, homosexuals, the mentally and physically disabled (including old age), Bolsheviks, and a host of others.

As you can see, even in the context of the Holocaust victims, this answer is not simple. I would suggest you research the subject, even if it is not for your class. Then you can get a glimpse into this dark time.

`Adolf Hitler was the leader of Germany in WW2.
`He tried to create the "Third Reich" which was what he thought would be a wider-Germany with only "good ethnic people" (no Jews, blacks etc) .
`He created laws that prosecuted Jews, gypsies, people who were disabled, partly Jewish etc. `He authorised the killings of 6 million Jews
`5 more million people were killed, from Italy to Russia
`He led the SS, the Nazi army party.
`Concentration camps were set up , most famously, Auchschwitz (wrong spelling i think) .
`At first the US and Britain ignored what was happening.
`Another key figure in the holocaust is Heinrich Himmler, leader of the SS, who stated the "final solution' (to get rid of all the Jews) which was the planning of the gas chamber deaths,.
That was the holocaust - when millions of Jews were put to death by gas chambers and other brutal methods of killing.

You need to know about it. Read. It's a very interesting time in history when someone came to power and forced a nation to change its entire belief system. It pitted brother against brother, neighbor against neighbor. Books were burned and people were burned. Jews were persecuted and murdered in mass in concentration camps. Their riches were stolen and are still being recovered. If Hitler hadn't pitted his troops against Russia and overextended himself, we would be speaking German. That is you would be speaking German if your ancestors didn't have dark skin or brown eyes. Otherwise you wouldn't be here.

Holocaust means "entirely burnt" as derived from greek. It refers to the attempted genocide of the jews by Nazi-Germany. Most jews (and other "outcasts" of the Nazi regime, like gypsies, communists, gays etc.) were killed in gas chambers and then burnt in ovens, hence the name.

its when Nazi party people made german killers and rapest in charge of jewish, homosexual, and other non germanic raceses in consentration camps.
jews were the biggest target of all, and they were killed, by starvation, slave labor, shot, gas, experiments, etc...
