Canada was also invaded during the Revolutionary war... It was invaded at least twice. Or does that not count either?

I think Iceland is indeed a good answer. But Greenland is not a good answer, as it is not an independent country.

Switzerland is a very bad answer unless you consider the founding of Switzerland to be 1848 when todays confederation was founded.

Switzerland is a loose confederation of little states in the alps (grossly) dating back to the middle ages, which has known a lot of wars. In medieval times, for example, they constantly had to fight against the kingdom of burgundy.

Napoleon also invaded Switzerland. Geneva and Wallis even were part of France for a short time.

It is only a few years later that a skillfull diplomat attained that all other country would recognize the neutrality of Switzerland, which perists to this day.

You are forgetting the Fenians. Given that Canada was founded in 1867 I'll accept your point that the War of 1812 doesn't count.

Can we say Iceland and Greenland were invaded?
I think the only "invaders" of these two islands did not meet any opposition and successfully migrated to populate these barren regions.

when canada revolted they probably sent a few troops over and that would be technically invading if they declared it a new country
