Is it just to treat others like I would want to be treated? Isn't that being selfish to think that everyone else wants to be treated like I do?

I really want a polaroid camera, if not for the "cool" factor alone, then for the instant gratification of having a Polaroid picture. But everyone I mention Polaroids to says "They're cool, but..." But what? What is the downside of a polaroid camera? I know their quality is bad, and the film can be expensive sometimes, but is there anything else I need to know?

Apparently my Grandma is going to give me her old one from the late 80s/early 90s...are they hard to repair or something?

And since I guess I shouldn't waste points on a whole other, yet related question, I am thinking of getting into photography as a hobby in general. I have a 35mm camera (my mother's Cannon EOS Rebel 2000) already, but is there anything else I need? And does anyone know any good photo ops in/near Los Angeles?

Wow, that's a mouthful. Thanks, and if you can answer either one or both parts of this question, please do. It's much appreciated.

I still have acouple characters left to work with. Well, thanks again

I remember reading it when I was in Kindergarden, that was in the 91' or 92'. I don't remember the author, but I've been looking for that book since two years ago, when I type the title into Barnes and Noble or Amazon, it doesn't pop up, maybe it is a different title. The book is about a mole and he is One Wee Motey Wart, and it is about where he lives, underground. Please help if you have any answers!

I going to be taking photography and digital arts this summer, I love photo-shopping and making cheesy animated images....very much an armature and still learning but I really have no clue as to what types of jobs are out there I can apply this training too. I know I have time, maybe they'll inform us of our choices/paths (during these courses) but I have to admit, I'm sorta freaking out as I am not sure I am making the right choice in a degree.

I have been taking a few time to think in depth how I have learned things and how I know them. Such as how do I know that concrete is hard?

What defines hard? Who defines what we see and know? How do we know things? Is what we know what society is based on? Is what we know your own belief?

How can we know that fact is thruth?

Our 5-year-annivesery is coming up, and as a present, I thought of compiling a book of our relationship using blurb.com. I'm going to incoporate over 11 years worth of photographs in it, as well as letters and emails that have been written. It's going to be seperated into two parts - 'the story of us', and the 'scrapbook' area (the latter taking up most of the book). I'm going to write out how we met, became friends, dated, got engaged and so forth...the only problem is, I have NO IDEA how to begin it! We met in Sunday School when we were 8 years old, if that helps. Please, anything you can come up with will be GREATLY appreciated - something besides 'once upon a time there was a boy and girl'. Also, what point of veiw should it be in? I want our kids to be able to read it, so I'm not sure if I want it from my POV, because that leaves his thoughts out- but will it seem too impersonal if I do it from 3rd person? Please, give me ideas!

Everyone in my family just plainly looks Black. But I look Native American apparently... or Hawaiian. My great grandmother on my mother's side is Blackfeet Indian, and my grandmother on my father's side is Arawak. No one in my family looks like me... but apparently, I look like my grandmother. Isn't that weird? And will my children look Native American as well?

10 points to the person that can name the book.

Clues:

1: Set in victorian times.
2: Main character is a governess.
3: Love interest is the father of the children she is to care for.
4: The 'mother' of the children is said to be dead.
5: The Governess is forbidden to go to a certain area of the house (Turns out that is where the mother is)

10 points to the winner!

An Ode To Critics

Come, right this way
Sit on the throne
As I let my poems relay
I dust off your shoes and wait in anticipation
As you spit at my paper
Throwing it down in indignation

“What is this?” You say with a sneer,
“Your lines are rhymed and it just does not flow
Your stanzas are wrong and this poem just has to go
Your emotions are cluttered and do that does not work
Why would you waste my time on this dreadful piece of dirt?”

There was no traffic, I hadn't expected ther would be at this late hour. A hundred or so yards ahead I was startled to see a male figure in light colored pants and shirt running into the road . A split second later I saw the truck, a dark grey , lifted, one of those 4 wheel drive types barrel out of the woods and run into the man sending him flying into the air. The truck slammed on the brakes then swung a sharp right in the direction away from me racing toward the horizon on the road ahead. I sat for a moment stunned I must have thrown on my brakes because I was parked in the middle of the road.. My instincts as a paramedic kicked in. I grabbed my emergency kit, It contained gloves, and a few supplies. I put my gloves on in the car also instinct for a paramedic at an accident scene. I examined the victim. Checked for a pulse, no sign of life. I needed help, I tore off the gloves use the cars onstar then back to start CPR..The lifeless body was gone. Only my bloody gloves remained.
